Yuyan Contributor License Agreement (version 2026-10-05.1)
1. This agreement covers code, documentation and other works you intentionally submit for inclusion in repositories managed by the Yuyan project maintainers within the GitHub yuyan-lang organization (Contributions). Material clearly marked as not submitted for inclusion is excluded. The license recipients are the Yuyan project maintainers: the individuals or entities responsible for maintaining and publishing those repositories.
2. You retain copyright in your Contributions. You grant the maintainers a perpetual, worldwide, non-exclusive, no-charge, royalty-free, irrevocable copyright license to reproduce, use, modify, prepare derivative works of, publicly display, publicly perform and distribute your Contributions, and to sublicense them under other licenses, including open-source and commercial licenses. The current use of AGPL does not limit this sublicensing grant.
3. You grant the maintainers and recipients of your Contributions a perpetual, worldwide, non-exclusive, no-charge, royalty-free patent license to make, have made, use, sell, offer for sale, import and transfer the Contributions. It covers only patent claims you can license that are necessarily infringed by your Contributions alone or combined with the project as submitted. If a recipient initiates litigation alleging that a Contribution infringes its patent, that recipient’s patent license under this section terminates when the litigation is filed.
4. You represent that you have authority to grant these licenses. If your employer or another party holds relevant rights, you have obtained the necessary authorization. You clearly identify material you did not create or cannot license, together with its applicable licenses; this agreement does not grant rights on behalf of those parties.
5. Except for identified third-party material, you represent that you created your Contributions and, to your knowledge, they do not infringe third-party rights. Contributions are provided as is, without any duty to provide support. Apart from the express representations in this agreement, you provide no warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose or otherwise.
6. The project need not accept a Contribution. This agreement does not transfer your copyright or restrict your separate use or licensing of your own work. It covers Contributions submitted after you complete confirmation; earlier Contributions require a separate express inclusion.
7. Checking acceptance and posting this submission’s confirmation code using the specified GitHub account expresses your intent to sign this agreement. Entering a username alone is insufficient. The service retains the agreement text, version, language, submission and confirmation times, GitHub account ID and confirmation-comment evidence to maintain signing records and check contribution eligibility. The public endpoint returns only whether the signing requirement is satisfied.
8. Modern Chinese, Classical Chinese and English versions express the same agreement. The Modern Chinese version controls in case of interpretation differences. Changed terms receive a new version, and earlier signing records are retained. You may save this page and your signing receipt.
